Lives are a scary thing?

Hey all, hope your week has been good. Mine hasn't been too bad. Life got in the way of my crafting this past weekend but I enjoyed it. I got to see my first Colts game it was fun even though we lost I'm still a little tick but not so much any more.

Anyways crafting time finally came today I made a card and did it live on Facebook. I was way out of my comfort zone. I had to do it on my computer and you couldn't see my project I don't have a project cam like others do so I improvised by showing the card up to the computer while I went through the steps of how I make the card. I think it went pretty well but you could tell I was a nervous wreck and I only had one viewer although that's a lot better than I was expecting so we'll try again next week can't wait. So I should hopefully have everything figured out by then. Hopefully.

Here is the card I made today:

As you can see I used Stampin' Up's Frosted Foliage Stamp Kit. I began with a white/ cream card based  in an A2 size. Then I Stampin' Up's ink pads using the colors Poppy Parade and Melon Mambo to create the red background. Next I used patterned paper with the Christmas trees. I got this at a scrapbook store in Indianapolis and when I found the Christmas room I was in heaven. I glued the patterned paper on with Art Glitter Glue then I adhered the creame/ white paper and then began to stamp snowflakes on the green paper. After that I stamped Sending you a Little Yuletide Cheer on the red piece of card stock. Next I adhered the green card stock to the white and then adhered the red to the green. After that I used the gray colored card stock to stamp the sentiment Wishing You A Season Full of Family, Friends, and Happiness and adhered to the bottom portion of the card.
And there you have it, isn't it such a cute card.

Hope you guys enjoyed it. If you would like to see my live go to my Facebook page Lupe's Lovelies and let me know what you think. I'll try to be on a live every week but with the holidays coming up I can't guarantee it so be on the look out for my lives.

Until next time,
Lupe

Stuff for the new year and Crafty goodness

Hello everyone how's it going. Winter is right around the corner and it's that time of year again. Christmas time oh and Thanksgiving of course. I always look forward to Thanksgiving dinner especially since I don't work in retail anymore. Thanksgiving kinda gets forgotten in the rush to get Christmas stuff going. Christmas is my favorite holiday guess it helps that my birthday is on Christmas day. No I'm kidding. Christmas is my favorite holiday cause we show more love during the season. It's hard to see I know but it happens. Anyways got lots of ideas swimming around for next year so I wanted to hear your opinions.

First thing I am wanting to do is do lives on Facebook and Instagram.  I will actually start this week, I chickened out last time cause I'm usually very nervous when I do things especially if it's talking to people who I don't know. Definitely going to try this week can't chicken out this time.

Second thing I want to do is host card classes and show techniques that I have learn in the last few months. What days work best for some of you in the Indy area?  Those of you outside of Indy I will be looking into the whole live thing. You guys will definitely get to learn those techniques to. I'm also wondering what type of setting would be best. So let me know in the comments what you would like to see and where you would like to be.

Thirdly I would like to start selling cards I can do sets and individual cards but what types of cards do you like? All in all this one will most likely start this year with Christmas cards. I'll get a set of cards going and see where I land at pricing wise.  If you have idea points on pricing do let me know in the next couple of weeks I will be actively selling my cards.

Ornaments I have tried for the last two or three years to make as many as possible and sell any extras I make but this has not gone very well for me. I'll try again but would love to know what type of ornaments you guys would like to see me create and sell. I haven't revealed what I'm making this year cause no one knows I'm still making Christmas ornaments I'm still debating on what to put along with the ornament but we'll see.

Lastly let me tell you about my last craft a thon I went to. As most of you know this is my time to relax getaway from work and home life and craft all day long sometimes I wish I could take my friends with me. Anyways I got two major projects done. I made a nifty calendar cork board and I also made a no sew blanket for a co worker who is having a baby in the next couple of days. Cause I have no sewing machine this is my favorite type of blanket to do. Here is a picture of my calendar:

Lets just say this last month has seen a lot of progress and am excited to make even more progress lets hope we can have lots of fun and make pretty things.
Please do let me know your opinions I would love to hear from all of you.
