Lives are a scary thing?

Hey all, hope your week has been good. Mine hasn't been too bad. Life got in the way of my crafting this past weekend but I enjoyed it. I got to see my first Colts game it was fun even though we lost I'm still a little tick but not so much any more.

Anyways crafting time finally came today I made a card and did it live on Facebook. I was way out of my comfort zone. I had to do it on my computer and you couldn't see my project I don't have a project cam like others do so I improvised by showing the card up to the computer while I went through the steps of how I make the card. I think it went pretty well but you could tell I was a nervous wreck and I only had one viewer although that's a lot better than I was expecting so we'll try again next week can't wait. So I should hopefully have everything figured out by then. Hopefully.

Here is the card I made today:

As you can see I used Stampin' Up's Frosted Foliage Stamp Kit. I began with a white/ cream card based  in an A2 size. Then I Stampin' Up's ink pads using the colors Poppy Parade and Melon Mambo to create the red background. Next I used patterned paper with the Christmas trees. I got this at a scrapbook store in Indianapolis and when I found the Christmas room I was in heaven. I glued the patterned paper on with Art Glitter Glue then I adhered the creame/ white paper and then began to stamp snowflakes on the green paper. After that I stamped Sending you a Little Yuletide Cheer on the red piece of card stock. Next I adhered the green card stock to the white and then adhered the red to the green. After that I used the gray colored card stock to stamp the sentiment Wishing You A Season Full of Family, Friends, and Happiness and adhered to the bottom portion of the card.
And there you have it, isn't it such a cute card.

Hope you guys enjoyed it. If you would like to see my live go to my Facebook page Lupe's Lovelies and let me know what you think. I'll try to be on a live every week but with the holidays coming up I can't guarantee it so be on the look out for my lives.

Until next time,
Lupe

Stuff for the new year and Crafty goodness

Hello everyone how's it going. Winter is right around the corner and it's that time of year again. Christmas time oh and Thanksgiving of course. I always look forward to Thanksgiving dinner especially since I don't work in retail anymore. Thanksgiving kinda gets forgotten in the rush to get Christmas stuff going. Christmas is my favorite holiday guess it helps that my birthday is on Christmas day. No I'm kidding. Christmas is my favorite holiday cause we show more love during the season. It's hard to see I know but it happens. Anyways got lots of ideas swimming around for next year so I wanted to hear your opinions.

First thing I am wanting to do is do lives on Facebook and Instagram.  I will actually start this week, I chickened out last time cause I'm usually very nervous when I do things especially if it's talking to people who I don't know. Definitely going to try this week can't chicken out this time.

Second thing I want to do is host card classes and show techniques that I have learn in the last few months. What days work best for some of you in the Indy area?  Those of you outside of Indy I will be looking into the whole live thing. You guys will definitely get to learn those techniques to. I'm also wondering what type of setting would be best. So let me know in the comments what you would like to see and where you would like to be.

Thirdly I would like to start selling cards I can do sets and individual cards but what types of cards do you like? All in all this one will most likely start this year with Christmas cards. I'll get a set of cards going and see where I land at pricing wise.  If you have idea points on pricing do let me know in the next couple of weeks I will be actively selling my cards.

Ornaments I have tried for the last two or three years to make as many as possible and sell any extras I make but this has not gone very well for me. I'll try again but would love to know what type of ornaments you guys would like to see me create and sell. I haven't revealed what I'm making this year cause no one knows I'm still making Christmas ornaments I'm still debating on what to put along with the ornament but we'll see.

Lastly let me tell you about my last craft a thon I went to. As most of you know this is my time to relax getaway from work and home life and craft all day long sometimes I wish I could take my friends with me. Anyways I got two major projects done. I made a nifty calendar cork board and I also made a no sew blanket for a co worker who is having a baby in the next couple of days. Cause I have no sewing machine this is my favorite type of blanket to do. Here is a picture of my calendar:

Lets just say this last month has seen a lot of progress and am excited to make even more progress lets hope we can have lots of fun and make pretty things.
Please do let me know your opinions I would love to hear from all of you.

Card making

I can't believe we are so close to the end of the year. Sorry it's been a while I've  been a very busy woman. Had a lot of things happen emotionally and mentally. I started going back to crafting for my sanity mostly but I usually feel better after a day of crafting. My friends at work tease me about it but in a caring way. Whenever I talk about Craft a thon they  say Craft a thonnn it's funny and puts a smile on my face.

Anyways another thing that I have been doing is going to Card Classes as most of you know I want to sell my creations. I've gotten better and want to learn many more techniques. I have the angel policies for both Stampin' Up and Unity stamp so I can sell cards and other stuff I make. The card classes are through Stampin' Up it's been a lot of fun. I had to take a break this month lots going on and just had a hard time keeping up.

I did a card swap a couple of  weekends ago and enjoyed it very much thanks Cheryl it was a lot of fun. I also had another swap that did not get done I'm usually so much better  at planning my time.  I felt so bad about it, and I know they understood my situation, but I can't help but keep aplogizing for it.

Another thing I've done is Subscribe to the Paper Pumpkin subscription I loved my frist one I got and am going to get the next one for the month of  November. I really can't wait to make my paper pumpkin for October. I might do it live and can't wait to try that out now that I have my computer up and running again. Maybe I'll do it Saturday or Sunday we'll see. Hopefully I can figure it out .

Hope to see you next time,

Crafting and working

So it's been a couple of years. I totally lost my excitement for crafting and was not able to craft as much. I was working two jobs at the time and my time and energy levels were just not there. I haven't crafted much I only get one day a month to craft all day so I save all my crafting for that day. How did I manage this, well I found the Craft Connection here in Fishers, IN. Once a month several ladies from a local Church get together and craft. It's been a great way to get stuff done and to make some new friends.

This past weekend I learned a lot new methods for card making and especially how to cut paper correctly. I know it's weird but I am really bad at measuring things. Anyways the last month I've done a lot of crafting  and got to make cards. Yes card making is back in my repertoire of crafts that I do . Can't wait to see what i come up with this year for  Christmas.  I have a couple of ideas but we'll see what happens.

Here are a few pictures of what I have made in the past couple of months:

Now that I'm back to stamping need to organize everything and get more supplies. Shh....don't tell my sisters.

Hello, everyone  how is your  day going.  Mine has been  going  pretty well. Today i made a folded card and use the Itty bitty  stamp sets Love with a love and Birdie  and a bear with the sentiment  thank you  for being  there.

I  took the chance  of  freelancing the tree on the outside. I also used the qoute "We loved with a love that was more than Love. Then i used  the sentiment  thank you  for being  there  on the inside of the  card. Hello, Ladies  welcome  to  another installment  of Growing  in  Unity. I'm  so excited  to  be  GIU  girl  again this week i am a past GIU  and am ready to try some new techniques  this week.

First  up one last Christmas  theme card. Meet Merry, Moe, Joe these little  mice are decorating their tree in  the red party although Moe is not in the spotlight  cause he doesn't  like  it much, but he is happy  to  be  decorating  the  tree with his brother  and nephew.  Hehe... reminds  me of  my sister  and nephew  with me in the background. They are decorating  the tree while  I  make sure the ornaments  are ready.

I took the Barn door  distressed  ink  to create the spotlight.

Don't  forget  to  stop by mine and Beck Nt's blog this week  and  comment for your  chance  to  win  25 random  stamps  from  unity.

GIU Week Day 4

Hello ladies,

How is everyone  today. Today I  bring  you  a journal  page. One of  my goals  this year  is to try and do a little  more  Journaling. Hopefully I  can.  Anyways  todays journal page  features  the kit Steps  of Courage. I started  out with a scrapbook  page that had some flowers  and birds  on it. Then I  used the flowers  from the set and put it on different  parts  of the sheet.  Then I  used Tim Holtz  distressed  ink to distress  the flowers. I also used the sentiment  "Difficult  Roads  often lead to beautiful  destinations."  I also used distressed  ink.

I got a close up of the sentiment  cause it was hard  to  see because of the blue on the paper. I really  should have picked a lighter  shade. Oh well  lesson  learned  right.

Hope you ladies  have a fun  day enjoy.

Oh and remember  i will be  choosing  two lovely  ladies  to win a random  25 stamps from unity so make sure  you  comment  for your  chance to win.

So no matter who or what you  are. You are the most beautiful thing in the world.

And with that U leave  you ladies with that thought.

I used  Tim Holtz  distressed  in to stamp the image. The color vintage photo  and then i blended vintage photo , barn door  and dusty concord  all together  to create  the party atmosphere. The sentiment  I used was "I love the nights  I can't  remember with the friends I can't  forget."

GIU week Day 1

Hello everyone,

I'm  so excited to  be GIU  girl  this  week. For my first  project I did something  simple. I took kraft paper and cut a square  into it to  make a window where I  used  the kit Jar of  Hope on a piece  of  adhesive  and stamped the jar. Next i used the sentiment  "I can't  promise  to  fix all your  problems, but I  can promise  you won't have  to face  them  alone."
I also  added the butterfly. I love butterflies  they always give me hope.

Rember at the end of the  i will be choosing  two winners for a bag of 25 random  stamps, so be sure to  comment  on my blog  every day  this week.

Enjoy your  day.

Simon Says Monday Challenge 2-15-2016

Hello everyone,

Hope everyone is enjoying their day. I'm back with my project for the Simon Says Monday Challenge. I took a jar and reused it to make a floral arrangement with pipe cleaners. First off I started by painting it blue that was fun. Then I thought why don't I make itty bitty dots of green to make it look different. I used Mod Podge to seal in the paint. And now for the result:

I had a lot of fun making this. It was a good challenge and help me use a different creative outlet. Hope you all enjoyed my little project and I hope there will be another challenge like this in the future. Thank you all for reading.

Card making is awesome.

Hello everyone. I apologize for not being able to continuously show my creativity like I want to this year. This year I was selected to be the Growing In Unity Girl with Unity Stamps on the last week of the year. This group is great their support and encouragement is  amazing. I for one can not wait till the end of December so I can show off my stuff. So today I've got a few pictures of the card that I have made in the last two days. Enjoy.
This one was done with the kits Happy Dust and Dragonflies and Fairies.

This one was from Phyllis Harris and is called She deserves a party.
The inside was made with a Congrats stamp from a grab bag that I won last year.
Aww....this was made with the kit All Kinds of Happy.
This one was made with the kit Include Yourself in Beauty.

This is a birthday card that I'm giving to one of my best friends who's birthday is tomorrow.  I used the kit Happy Chick Birthday. Underneath you'll find the inside where I wrote my own personal message for her. I can't wait to give it to her.

This one was made with the kit Today is a Lovely Day. Underneath and to the right is the inside of the card.

The card on the left was made with the Dragonflies and Fairies kit.

Well I hope you all had a great time. I know I did. See you soon.

MFT Sketch 267

Sorry it's been a few long weeks. I had to take some time off to figure out how I was going to be able to make my cards without making a mess in my dinning room, so I finally got to fixing the extra room we have in my house so that I can have a space for all of my craft stuff. Now how I'm going to arrange it is beyond me. I'll work on it when I get on vacation I can't wait for  it. Now for my card for Sketch challenge 267. Today I used two Unity Stamp Kits. I used the Happy Dust stamp and the Fariy stamp form the kit Dragonflies and Fairies.

I also took some sanding paper and sanded some of the  paper to look a little different.

Well that's all for today. Have a wonderful day.
